About the place and it’s surroundings
Beindalsholt is located in the southern part of Iceland, in Rangárþing-Ytra, right next to Hella. Beindalsholt is very peaceful and quiet and the view of the surrounding countryside is spectacular. From Beindalsholt you can see many examples of Iceland’s wonderful nature, like the volcanoes Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull, Vestmannaeyjar, Tindfjöll, Þríhyrningur and more. From Beindalsholt it’s a short drive to the nearest service which is at Landvegamót, Hella, Hvolsvöllur and Selfoss.
A variety of entertainment can be found near, for example like horseback riding, swimming pools, ATV tours, jeep tours and much more.
Beindalsholt is in a very convenient location to explore the south of Iceland, for example to Landmannalaugar, Þórsmörk, Almannagjá in Þingvellir, Vestmannaeyjar, Stöng in Þjórsárdal and many more.
In the wintertime you might even get lucky enough to see the northern lights at night, when they completely light up the sky in beautiful green and purple.
