What we offer

The cottages are 28 square meters with a kitchen, dining table, private bathroom and a wonderful view from the windows or the terrace outside the cottages. You can see a few of the most famous volcanoes from the property like Hekla, Eyjafjallajökull and Vestmannaeyjar as well. When you arrive, we will be there to welcome you and to give you the key to the house.

The nearest local community swimming pool is only a short 15 minute walk away to Laugaland. Near the house, about 5 km away, we also have the Hestheimar ranch and Skeiðvelllir ranch, where you can go see the beautiful Icelandic horses or go on a horseback riding tour. The nearest town is Hella, 14 km away, where you can find a grocery store, a few restaurants and a swimming pool. From Hella, there are about 14 km to the town Hvolsvöllur. From the house, you have about a 55 km drive to Landeyjahöfn, where you can take the ferry to Vestmannaeyjar. The trip on the ferry to the spectacular islands is only about 20 minutes each way, so perfect for a daytrip to visit Vestmannaeyjar. There is a short drive to Leirubakki which hosts the Heklusetur-museum where you can find all sorts of information about the famous Hekla volcano, which can be seen from our living room window. You can also visit the oldest man-made caves in Iceland, dating back to the pre-settlement.

There is free private parking and wifi is available in all areas free of charge and pets are allowed on request. No extra charges. In the dining room there is a dining table, toaster, stovetop, electric kettle, microwave and a refrigerator. In the bedroom area there are linens and covers. The bathroom includes toilet paper, towels, shower and a hairdryer. There is heating, a private entrance and non-smoking rooms. The languages spoken are Icelandic and English.
